Endorsement is what allows our midwives to offer Medicare rebates, which keeps the cost of a home visit low for eligible families.

Fees are set by each midwife, not by the collective, and the visit fee and payment arrangements can differ between the four practices. The Medicare rebate below is the part that is the same for eligible families. This page explains how the rebate works for home visits, what can change the gap you pay, and what to ask before you book.
Medicare rebates are available. Every EverNurture midwife is endorsed, which is what allows eligible families to claim a Medicare rebate on home visits. The rebate applies within a limited window after your baby is born, and it keeps the out-of-pocket cost of a visit low.
Visit fees are set by each midwife. Confirm your eligibility, her fee, the gap you would pay and the current rebate window with the midwife you contact.
How it works
Rebates for home visits
- The rebate applies within a limited window after the birth, so ask your midwife how long it runs for you.
- The largest rebates the midwives publish apply once the Medicare safety net (opens in a new tab) has been reached. Before that, expect the gap to be larger.
- They are available to eligible families, so check your eligibility when you first contact a midwife.
- The gap you pay depends on her visit fee, so confirm both together.
Each midwife sets her own visit fee, and the way a rebate is claimed can differ between practices. For example, Natalie processes Medicare rebates herself, and the rebate is paid back into your account within 24 to 48 hours.
