Endorsement is what allows our midwives to offer Medicare rebates, which keeps the cost of a home visit low for eligible families.

Medicare rebates are available. Eligible families may access Medicare rebates for home visits provided until their baby is 7 weeks of age, resulting in a low out-of-pocket expense of approximately $17 per visit after the rebate.

How it works
Rebates for home visits
- The rebate window closes when your baby reaches 7 weeks of age.
- They are available to eligible families, so check your eligibility when you first contact a midwife.
- The gap you pay is set out in the summary above.
Each midwife sets her own visit fee, and the way a rebate is claimed can differ between practices. For example, Natalie processes Medicare rebates herself, and the rebate is paid back into your account within 24 to 48 hours.
